Plastic pollution is one of the greatest environmental disasters affecting the oceans. With more than 3000 billion microplastic particles, the Mediterranean Sea is the most polluted sea in the world. With this conclusion, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the Tara Ocean Foundation, Surfrider Foundation Europe, and the Mava Foundation joined forces to create the Beyond Plastic Med initiative (BeMed) association.
Vitale 1913 decided to follow the practices by the BeMed together with the Prince Albert II Foundation. Meaning that Vitale 1913 does not accept to buy and sell products which are from non recycled plastic.
Due to these facts, Mr Alberto Vitale and the worldwide sailor Yvan Griboval, decided to create the non profit Association OcéanoScientific (www.oceanoscientific.com) to contribute to the environment.
Maison Vitale 1913 is proud to support the Foundation Prince Albert II of Monaco by donating a part of proceeds from the Ocean treasures collection to help them in their actions in favor of Oceans’ preservation and their natural habitats.
